Statement of faith
1. We believe that, Bible is the inspired Word of God – the divine and final authority for all Christian Faith, Life and Conduct.
(2Tim 3:16, 10; John 1:1; 2Pet 1:18 – 21vs)
2. We believe in Triune God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
(Mat 28:18 – 1, 2Cor 13:13, 1Pet 1:2)
3. We believe that, Jesus Christ, without any change in His eternal deity became man through conception by Holy Spirit and Virgin birth, His sinless life on earth, that he died on the Cross, a perfect and complete sacrifice, in our stead and for our sins according to the Scripture He arose bodily from the dead, and ascended into Heaven where at the right hand of the majesty on High, He is our High priest and Advocate, He will return in Power and glory and that He is the only Saviour of the all human being.
(Act 2:23, 24, 32, 36; Heb 1:8; 1Cor 15:3 – 4, Acts 9:11, Mat 25:31, 32; Act 4:12)
4. We believe that
I. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during the age to convict mankind of their Sin and regenerate the sinner upon believing in Christ Jesus and thereafter teaching, guiding, and leading the regenerate person (Believer) in day to day Christian living and service. (Rom 6:23)
II. The indwelling, guiding and filling of the Holy Spirit enables the believers to live a sanctified life and work for the salvation and discipling of others
(Act 1:5 & 18)
III. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is from God and through Jesus Christ, and it is the separate experience of the Believer.
IV. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are still operative in the Church as per 1st Corinthians Chapter 12 in the Holy Bible.
5. We believe that man was directly created by God in His own image and likeness, but he fell into sin. The entire human race is therefore, lost, sin full and only through repentance and believing in Jesus Chris, and regeneration of the Holy Spirit, can salvation and spiritual life obtained.
6. We believe that the atoning death of Jesus Christ, and His resurrection, provide the only ground of justification and salvation for all who believe and that only such as receive Jesus Christ by personal faith are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become the Children of God.
7. We believe in the personal, premillenial return of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that this blessed hope has a vital bearing on the Children of God.
8. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and the unbeliever to judgment and eternal damnation. (Rev 20:12-15)
9. We believe that the church is composed of all such regenerated men and women, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, are united together for Spiritual fellowship and edification in the Body of Christ, of which He is the Head. (1 Cor 12:12-13)
10. We believe in the baptism by immersion in the name of Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and this is to be received in obedience by every regenerated follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. (matt 28:19, Rom 6:3&4)
11. We believe that the ordinance of the Lord Supper should be observed regularly, preferably on the first Lord’s Day of each month, and shall be presided over by the pastor or by any duly authorized person.
(Act 2:41-42, Heb 10:25)
12. We believe that it is the privilege of Christian parents to present their children in dedication to the Lord before the church that they may be made the subject of united and solemn prayer, and that the church would undertake to care spiritually for the children so dedicated to the Lord.
13. We believe that all who have been regenerated by the Holy Ghost (saved by grace through faith) in Lord Jesus Christ and are part of the church should live in such manner as will honour and glorify (and not bring reproach upon) their Saviour and Lord and that it is commended of God to remain separate from false doctrine sinful pleasure, practices and associations.
14. We believe that it is the state duty of the believer, according to the mandate given to him/her by the word of God to pray for the rulers of the country, submit to those in authority and to give to the government all that is due to them – such as tax, and thus live like a respectable citizen of the country.
15. We believe that the Biblical mandate given to the Church engulfs her responsibility to care for the needy, neglected, poor, widow and orphan, sick, Destitute, marginalized and the sick.
